![]() "The great river flows eastward, the waves wash away all the heroes of the ages. To the west of the old fortress, people say it is the Red Cliff of Zhou Lang in the Three Kingdoms period. The rocks pierce the sky, the waves crash against the shore, and thousands of piles of snow are rolled up. The mountains and rivers are picturesque, and there are so many heroes at that time..." Back then, Su Shi stood on the famous battlefield of Chibi and looked around, and put all his heroic spirit into a poem called "Nian Nujiao" which has been passed down through the ages, expressing the man's broad-mindedness and the ruthlessness of time vividly; nearly a thousand years later, a Chinese man named John Woo hoped to use the movie he was good at to show the cruelty of that war and the heroic spirit of the heroes, but it is obvious that John Woo's luck was far worse than Su Shi's, and he failed to make a first-class movie that would be heart-wrenching and memorable. The epic historical drama is shot like a vulgar martial arts film, the fantasy drama is shot into a nonsensical and weird style, and the art film is fine if the actors don't take off their clothes, but if they do, it becomes a pornographic film. But everyone has different tastes and interests. Instead, it backfired and offended more viewers... After watching "Red", I personally think that the main reason why "Red" has not been widely accepted by the public is that it blindly expanded the target user group, hoping to attract more audiences through some absurd dialogues and erotic shots, but did not expect that the audience would not buy it. Similarly, in the WEB2.0 era, for any website we need to spend more time and energy to study the target user group and analyze the behavior of the target users. What a website needs most is to improve the experience of its target user group. Since the core task of interaction design is to target people, the more types of target users there are and the wider the target user group is, the more difficult it is to design. Everyone has different tastes and interests. Just like the general eating habits: it includes all flavors, sweet, sour, bitter, spicy and salty, it is true that it is difficult to satisfy everyone. You can't make one dish to please everyone. As a website, if you want to attract visitors, you must first figure out your positioning, define your core values, and discover your target users. Define core target users, analyze the behavior of user groups, and understand user needs. Provide what the target users need and want, and eliminate those things that seem to be somewhat useful. Don't let miscellaneous things interfere with the user's normal use. ![]() Only if the target users can be accurately distinguished and defined can the interaction design be done well. The fewer types of users a website targets, the easier it is to define their needs. Blindly expanding the core target users will lead to the phenomenon of losing sight of one thing while focusing on another in the design. Moreover, the more target users there are and the more complex they are, the greater the possibility of deviating from the target users' needs. If your website can satisfy 55% of users, it means that the other 45% of users are not satisfied. Narrow down your target users and satisfy them 100%; this is what you really need to do. Target a part of these users. If you can make them chase your product crazily, then your product will be very successful (this is what Apple did)! Always remember the 80/20 rule. |
