A few months after entering the industry in 2005, during the Labor Day holiday, I worked overtime until 12 o'clock every day for more than a month. I wrote an article in my journal about imitation and plagiarism. I wrote 5 full pages. Now it seems that the logic is very clear, but it is a bit too extreme. Now I will write it again. Newbies can just read the following paragraph. Elements of imitation: I said "imitate", not "imitate". . . If you have always been "imitating", then you'd better not watch it. . . . . . The elements are nothing more than: analysis, comparison, division of emphasis, and modifiable and non-modifiable judgments. Analyze what you want to do first. Write down on paper what you want to put on each page. The importance of these contents is arranged in the order of user experience. You need to have an idea of how big each part is. You need to know what you can remove if the space is not enough, and what you can add if the space is too large. Based on the analysis results, select the website to imitate according to the expected style. By comparison, compare which of the selected web pages are applicable and which are not applicable. Further compare multiple available ones, compare them according to the importance of the analysis, and differentiate them according to the effects they can highlight. Pick the site that is the most suitable or has the highest degree of suitability. Capture the spirit of the site you want to emulate. Find that feeling. Analyze its structure and why it does this or that way. Can I change 100% of its content with my content? Can I change its format and still have the same effect? Can I change its style and still make sense? Can I mess with its layout and still feel comfortable. . . . . . Modification of details <br />If you have not carried out the fifth step, please leave, because without the fifth step it is imitation, which is equivalent to plagiarism, so the following words may make you feel uncomfortable. There is an article in the 12th issue of "NewWebPick": "Ten Golden Rules for Designers to Win in the Business World", and the tenth rule says: Never, ever, attempt to copy others' designs for any reason at all. It is a death sentence to any designer, which means "Never try to copy other people's designs for any reason. This will be the road to death for any designer." If you think they are too harsh. Well, let me tell you, you either have no ambition or it is simply impossible for you to achieve much. Plagiarism is shameful, and similarly, reposting without indicating the source is also shameful. If you use plagiarized content in your own work, it can barely be considered learning, but if you use it in commercial design, it is shameful. Of course, you don't need to care too much, because plagiarism is normal in China. I once visited a website of the same kind. Its homepage, including the title, was "When will China be free of thieves?" . . . . . In fact, there is only one step between plagiarism and imitation. I dare say that many excellent designers also started from plagiarism to imitation, and then were promoted to excellent designers. The word "excellence" is not defined here. Whether it is plagiarism or imitation, if you keep analyzing, learning, and trying to make other people's things your own, this is very good. Very good. But if you just want to save trouble and make money. Then you are utterly shameful. I'm not teaching you to plagiarize. . . . . . Who hasn’t plagiarized others? The advanced form of plagiarism is imitation, and the highest level of plagiarism is reference. . . . Sweat |
