<br />In the previous article, I introduced the steps and methods of web design. For details, please review the previous article: Web Design Tutorial (1): Steps and Overall Layout. After entering the industry for several months in 2005, I had a holiday on Labor Day. After working overtime until 12 o'clock every day for more than a month, I wrote an article about imitation and plagiarism in my diary. It took up 5 pages. Now it seems that the reasoning is very clear, but it is a bit too extreme. Now I will rewrite it. Newbies can just read the following paragraph. Elements of imitation: I said "imitate", not "imitate"... If you have always been "imitating", then you'd better not watch it... The elements are nothing more than: analysis, comparison, division of emphasis, and judgment of what can and cannot be modified. 1: Analyze what you want to do first. Write down on paper what content you want to put on each page. Arrange the importance of these contents in the order of user experience. Have an idea of how much area each part occupies, what can be removed if the layout is not enough, and what content can be added if the layout is too large. 2: Select the website to imitate based on the analysis results and the expected style. 3: Through comparison, compare which part of the selected webpage is applicable and which part is not applicable. Further compare multiple available ones, compare according to the importance of analysis, and distinguish according to the effect that can be highlighted. 4: Select the most suitable or most suitable site. 5: Grasp the "spirit" of the site you want to imitate. Find that feeling. Analyze its structure, why it does this or handles it in this way and works well. Can I replace its content 100% with my content? Can I change its layout and still have the same effect? Can I change its style and still have a reasonable layout? Can I disrupt its layout and still make people feel comfortable... 6: Modify the details If you have not carried out the fifth step, please leave, because without the fifth step, it is imitation, which is equivalent to plagiarism, so the following words may make you feel uncomfortable. The 12th issue of NewWebPick has an article: "Ten Golden Rules for Designers to Win in the Business World", and the tenth one says: Never, ever, attempt to copy others' designs for any reason at all. It is a death sentence to any designer, which means "Never, ever, attempt to copy others' designs for any reason at all. It is a death sentence to any designer." If you think what they said is too harsh, then I tell you, you either have no ambition or it is impossible for you to achieve too much. Plagiarism is shameful, and so is reposting without citing the source. Plagiarism can be considered learning if used in one's own work, but it is shameful if used in commercial design. Of course, you don't need to care too much, because plagiarism is normal in China. I once saw a website of a peer company, and its homepage, including the title, was "When will China be free of thieves?"...... In fact, plagiarism and imitation are only one step apart. I dare say that many excellent designers also started from plagiarism to imitation, and then were promoted to excellent designers. Here, I will not define the word "excellent". Whether it is plagiarism or imitation, if you have been analyzing, learning, and trying to make other people's things your own, this is very good. Very good. But if you just want to save trouble and make money, then you are completely shameful. I'm not teaching you to plagiarize... Who hasn't plagiarized others' work? The advanced mode of plagiarism is imitation, and the highest level of plagiarism is reference... sweat... |
